Manufacturing Flagship, Superconductivity Team

Main Activity:

CSIRO has had a long-term research effort in superconductivity, in particular, since the discovery of high-temperature superconductivity (HTS). Significant progress has been made in research and development of HTS electronic devices and systems for practical applications and in emerging science
and technology areas. We develop advanced superconducting detectors and full systems for applications in minerals exploration, UXO detection, ultra-sensitive wireless communication RF receivers, terahertz imaging and spectroscopy. We supply HTS SQUID (Superconducting Quantum Interference Device) magnetometers and gradiometers to commercial and collaborative partners around the world.
